RANT: Keeping up with Blogs is like....

...Keeping up with the Kardashians.....IMPOSSSIBLE!!!

The title of this post came to me just now as I was making my morning green juice and I instantly knew I wanted to blog about it right away. I'm not a fan of Bloglovin' or even Google reader. I do however use an App that lets me read all my favorite blogs in one place...it's called Pulse..I love it....But I MUCH prefer visiting my favorite blogs LIVE on my laptop and not on my Android. There are a ton of blogs I love and follow daily, then there are ones that I check into weekly and even once in a blue moon. But I find that juggling social media ( I only actively have twitter and instagram currently) and running Purple Paparazzi and just life in general, keeping up with blogs is like keeping up with the Kardashians....impossible. I enjoy looking at certain blogs for certain things and I enjoy reading blogs for certain things...notice the difference "looking vs. reading" . Some blogs are eye candy for me, some blogs are inspiration and some are purely for entertainment, or I just love reading their content. I find myself VERRRRRYYYY behind lately with blogging in general, reading the blogs I love and even commenting, something I really enjoy doing especially on the blogs I love...I find myself at the most random times catching up on blogs, in the farmers market line, waiting for Zumba or Spin class to start, and even late late at night in bed when I should be sleeping ..SO I write this post saying I don't know how others do it....is there a method....should I scale back on my not so loved blogs..is there a better way to keep up with blogs and stay active in the community I support and love.....I'd love to know how others get through the blog world smoothly and regularly without compromising being behind on everything.

  2. Completely and utterly agree. It's a PT job just trying to keep on top of the blogs you know and love - forget about scoping out new ones. If you unlock the secret - feel free to let us in on it :)

  4. It's tough. I don't use bloglovin or google reader. I honestly try to go to my favorite blogs throughout the week... I try to plan out designated times. I will say, I've noticed, the busier I am, the harder it is to comment. At the end of the day, I try not to beat myself up over it.

  5. I religiously visit my favorite blogs on a daily basis and kind of know there posting frequency as well (twice a week most of the time). I dedicate a time frame to Post on my own blog, visit/read/get inspire with my fave blogs, prepare looks for weekend photo shoots and write posts I also set a different time frame for researching new sites/blogs/online stores and I stick to the schedules set on my calendar otherwise I will never handle the rest of my duties. Sometimes it sucks not to spend much more time online but I am the kind of person that needs to prioritize and respect my calendar and timings. Internet could become so addictive!
