Essie Dupes & Glitter Polish Galore

First let me say if you buy and own expensive nail polishes, I am NOT bashing you or your choices....these are merely MY opinions....well duh!

Ok, so in the blogging world, accessories are a spotlighted thing on blogs. And lately, nail obsessions have taken full front and center stage ( just think Atlantic-Pacific,Brooklyn Blonde and Sincerely Jules) and their oh so lovely colorful nails. I often see so many other bloggers posts pictures on their polish collections often encompassing something similar to this lineup: CHANEL, DEBORAH LIPPMAN, and BUTTER. While I am certain these are top of the line polishes, paying upwards of 15 bucks for something that goes on my fingernails for a few days, a week at max, is just not worth it for me.  And with the ever so popular "dupe" comparison, you can achieve those name brand color palettes at a fraction of the cost. 

Let's take a look at what I came up with:

First up: Pinkish Glitter from L to R 

(Milani Disco Lights) (Wet &Wild Sparkled) (Essie A Cut Above)

Opinion: All in all I like the W&W (middle) and the Essie (pointer finger) look the most! 

DUPES DUPES DUPES.....YES ONTO COLOR DUPES

NOW ONTO THE METALLIC COLORS :)  TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THESE!

THESE 2 COLORS ARE LITERALLY IDENTICAL

I did swatches on white paper and I don't know why it looks like the Essie is lighter than the Pure Ice, so PLEASE take note of the swatches on my fingers...you would NOT be able to tell seriously, when I was painting them I was like what the!!!

Let's price compare 

Essie No place like chrome $7.75 vs. Pure Ice Silver Mercedes $2

I think I'll keep the Pure Ice and save $5.75 SCORE!

Wet & Wild No place like Home vs. Milani 584 Red

Hands down the Milani Glitter WINS!!!

Just messing around with Purple Glitters, obviously representin' for Purple Paparazzi! :)

Not quite a color dupe comparison but I just wanted to see which Glitter I liked out of these two!

Essie Set in Stones $7.75 and Wet & Wild Party of Five Glitters $1.68 

Verdict: I really liked both....SOLD ON BOTH!!! :)

Next up: NUDES....look at both fingers, looks quite the same huh?

Wet & Wild Private Viewing $1.68 vs. Essie Mamba $7.75   

These colors were neck and neck and while Essie's quality of polish trumps W&W, I'll still go with W&W and save more money for gems ( duh, I am a Jewelry Designer )                                              

Decisions decisions, which Essie's to keep in my Dupes Comparison! Oh heck, I want them all!
